BETHEL – How do you follow up one of the best seasons in school history? The Bethel girls basketball team is about to find out.”I’ve been asked that question every day,” said Wildcats coach Anderson Rawlins, whose team went 22-4 a year ago to claim the school’s first SWC title in addition to reaching the Class M quarterfinals. “I don’t think it’s the pressure of following that up, I think it’s carving their identity. We work on that every day in practice, trying to find out who we are.”The Wildcats improved to 2-0 as a late defensive effort lifted them to a 53-43 win over visiting Staples in the season opener for the Wreckers on Thursday. Both of Bethel’s wins have come against FCIAC opposition.
