LADY WRECKERS STOP A TWO GAME SLIDE

STAPLES GIRLS BASKETBALL DEFEATS HARDING 61-33

Visiting a Harding team with lots of excited players, the Staples Girls Basketball Team recorded a much needed win Tuesday night. There were strong performances by the vast majority of players.

Led by Senior Captains Tessa Mall with 6 PTS and Abbey Lustig they had stellar Defensive and Offensive Rebounds, Steals and Offensive assists. Scoring leaders included Captains Madeline Schemel with 7 points and returning Maggie Fair with 12 including 2 for 2 from three point range.

Junior, Carly Lenihan, Led all scoring with 14 points and 6 steals while Sophomore Olivia Troy knocked down 4 shots and a Free throw for 9 points. Senior Sarah Mahoney was a strong rebounder and made a couple of key shots from the floor.

Juniors Gabby Perry, Talia Hendel, and Alisa Perry as well as Sophomores Rachel Seidemen and Julia Brower All played roles with solid teamwork and good defense.
